Our organisation employs regulated professionals who understand regulation and liability issues and have many years experience of working in Health and Wellbeing Sectors. All of our training programmes use Recovery theory and values to enhance understanding of a range of mental health issues and develop participants skills. Expert by experience Involvement and Recovery ethics are two of the significant driving forces underpinning current Mental Health delivery. User Involvement Strategy declares that these principles be promoted and facilitated within Trusts and that involving Service Users will:
Users of Mental Health Services are experts by experience and have a unique insight into the inequality and frequent ineffectiveness of services. Many of our courses encourage Service Users, Carers and Mental Health Workers to study alongside each other, learning through lived and shared experience in a safe and supportive environment.
Marion Aslan and Dr Mike Smithhave developed the THRIVE Approach to Wellness, based on a combined 60+ years experience working in the mental health arena. THRIVE is a unique concept and approach to wellness which challenges traditional thinking and puts the individual at the heart of recovery, building on strengths and personal resources, and which many key organisations across the UK are introducing as an example of true recovery practice. The values and principles of THRIVE are inherent in all of our training.
